<p><a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/jimmy-choo/" >Jimmy Choo</a> is one of the most popular stores at <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong> Premium Outlet Stores. These shoes usually retail for hundreds if not thousands of dollars and are the current &#8220;in&#8221; shoe for the entertainment community. For the girl looking to be cool and trendy, there is nothing like a pair of <strong>Jimmy Choo Shoes</strong>. Match your <strong>Jimmy Choo designer shoe</strong> with a <strong>Jimmy Choo designer handbag</strong> and you have a killer look!</p>
<p>So, what&#8217;s going on at this fashion house? Here is some of the news from the past week:</p>
<p>There is a <a href="http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2008/nov/03/nordstroms-open-friday-naples-waterside-shops/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2008/nov/03/nordstroms-open-friday-naples-waterside-shops/');">new Nordstrom&#8217;s store</a> in Naples&#8217; Waterside Shops that features handbags by Jimmy Choo:</p>
<blockquote><p>There are separate sections for luxury handbags by Marc Jacobs and Jimmy Choo. Choo’s designs glow under a chandelier. One of them, an east-west leather and suede satchel goes for $1,950. As Bailey picked up the bag to show it off during the tour, a sales associate working nearby said the exposed zippers on it were one of the big trends for fall.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Jimmy Choo</strong> was named &#8220;Brand of the Year&#8221; at the <a href="http://www.fashionwiredaily.com/first_word/fashion/article.weml?id=2267" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.fashionwiredaily.com/first_word/fashion/article.weml?id=2267');">12th annual ACE Awards</a>. Tamara Mellon accepted the award for Jimmy Choo.</p>
<p>Sarah Palin <a href="http://www.fwweekly.com/blotch.asp?id=323" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.fwweekly.com/blotch.asp?id=323');">was recently described</a> as &#8220;Dubya in <strong>Jimmy Choo</strong> heels&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/11/06/rachel-bilson-jimmy-choo-diane-fringe-bag/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/11/06/rachel-bilson-jimmy-choo-diane-fringe-bag/');">Here</a> are some great pictures of actress Rachel Bilson carrying a Jimmy Choo <strong>designer handbag</strong>.</p>
<p>At the premier of the new Bond movie Quantum of Solace, Reshma Bombaywala <a href="http://www.highheelconfidential.com/reshma-bombaywala-jimmy-choo-bag-bond-premiere/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.highheelconfidential.com/reshma-bombaywala-jimmy-choo-bag-bond-premiere/');">was seen carrying</a> a Jimmy Choo Maddy liquid patent and suede handbag.</p>
<p>London and New York-based private equity firm TowerBrook Capital Partners <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/privateEquity/idUSLA27973220081110" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.reuters.com/article/privateEquity/idUSLA27973220081110');">said on Monday</a> it has closed its third fund, having raised a total of $2.8 billion of capital from existing and new investors. Towerbrook&#8217;s investments include women&#8217;s luxury shoe brand Jimmy Choo.</p>
<p>Eileen Chambers <a href="http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/Haverford-Trust-Educates-Next-Generation/story.aspx?guid=%7B7C44C901-EA85-4F94-848F-C4BA34386B82%7D" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/Haverford-Trust-Educates-Next-Generation/story.aspx?guid=%7B7C44C901-EA85-4F94-848F-C4BA34386B82%7D');">recently gave</a> a presentation entitled &#8220;To Jimmy Choo or NOT to Jimmy Choo: Practical Financial Advice for the Young Professional&#8221; in which she gave practical advice to young professionals on how to manage their income. I suspect she doesn&#8217;t know the power of a great Jimmy Choo handbag!</p>
<p>NBC <a href="http://businesssheet.alleyinsider.com/2008/11/ben-silverman-finally-misses-nbc-cancels-my-own-worst-enemy-" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://businesssheet.alleyinsider.com/2008/11/ben-silverman-finally-misses-nbc-cancels-my-own-worst-enemy-');">cancels</a> My Own Worst enemy but don&#8217;t feel bad for Christan Slater as he is still dating Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon.</p>
<p>Finally, if you are looking to save money on Jimmy Choo and you live in London (which means you can&#8217;t go shopping at <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com" >Woodbury Commons</a>), then check out the Oxfam in Southfields for some cut-price designer gear courtesy of a mystery donor who donated thousands of dollars worth of Jimmy Choo, <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/dolce-gabbana/" >Dolce &#038; Gabbana</a> and other designer fashions.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it for the news at Jimmy Choo this week. See you at <strong>Jimmy Choo Woodbury Commons</strong>!</p>

<p>Mr. <strong>Jimmy Choo</strong> himself was at the Education UK Fair, according to <a href="http://tonybrace.wordpress.com/2008/10/27/whose-shoes-would-you-choose/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://tonybrace.wordpress.com/2008/10/27/whose-shoes-would-you-choose/');">this blog post</a>, which mentions that Choo gave a talk and exhibited a line of his <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/jimmy-choo/" >Jimmy Choo shoes</a>. </p>
<p>Here is a cool video he also wrote about:</p>
<p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-LmTiG2UtYc&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-LmTiG2UtYc&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p>
<p>U.S. News &#038; World Report reports that &#8220;The days of True Religion jeans and Jimmy Choo shoes will be over&#8221; in their article <a href="http://www.usnews.com/articles/business/your-money/2008/10/27/the-store-of-you.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.usnews.com/articles/business/your-money/2008/10/27/the-store-of-you.html');">The Store of YOU</a> which focused on how retailers are going the customization route. While I don&#8217;t disagree that customization is the wave of the future I think they are selling short the creative minds at Jimmy Choo, who will certainly come up with a way to address that growing trend.</p>
<p>Vanessa Hudgens <a href="http://everydayfacts.wordpress.com/2008/10/27/vanessa-hudgens-in-jimmy-choo-heels/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://everydayfacts.wordpress.com/2008/10/27/vanessa-hudgens-in-jimmy-choo-heels/');">looks ravishing</a> in her Jimmy Choo shoes, even if she does wear the same shoes with three different outfits!</p>
<p>David Gregory on the Tonight Show <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/msnbc/david_gregory_on_sarah_palin_and_jimmy_choo_98891.asp?c=rss" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/msnbc/david_gregory_on_sarah_palin_and_jimmy_choo_98891.asp?c=rss');">mentions</a> Sarah Palin buying Jimmy Choo. (actually on viewing the video a second time she says maybe she couldn&#8217;t afford them. She should shop at Woodbury Commons!</p>
<p>Lifestyle Singapore <a href="http://www.lifestyle.sg/articles/fashion_2/homage-to-high-heels_2056.htm" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.lifestyle.sg/articles/fashion_2/homage-to-high-heels_2056.htm');">highlights</a> The Cruise Collection 2009.</p>
<p>Finally, we&#8217;ll end with a little more political humor from Jay Leno:</p>
<blockquote><p>“And Republicans now say that the $150,000 worth of clothes they bought for Sarah Palin will probably go to a charity. Charity, is that a good idea? Isn’t that kind of counterproductive? I mean, you’re going to give a homeless woman your spare change when she’s wearing a <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/dolce-gabbana/" >Dolce &#038; Gabbana</a> jacket and <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/jimmy-choo/" >Jimmy Choo</a> shoes, you know?” -Jay Leno</p></blockquote>
<p>That&#8217;s it for the news at Jimmy Choo this week. See you at <strong>Jimmy Choo Woodbury Commons</strong>!</p>

<a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com" >Woodbury Commons</a> <strong>Premium Outlets</strong> are world famous and bloggers just LOVE to shop there. And being bloggers, they often write about their trips. I like to see who has been buying what at Woodbury Commons and so each week I&#8217;ll be finding bloggers who write about their shopping trips to the <strong>Outlet Mall</strong>!</p>
<p>Here is what we have for this week:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sheepguardingllama.com/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.sheepguardingllama.com/');">Steve&#8217;s</a> friend Katie <a href="http://www.sheepguardingllama.com/?p=2784" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.sheepguardingllama.com/?p=2784');">brought over some gifts</a> from Williams-Sonoma, and since he writes that she was late from returning from <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong>, then I&#8217;m guessing she got some great deals on those aprons!</p>
<p>HappyD from <a href="http://aozorablogspot.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://aozorablogspot.blogspot.com');">aozora</a> was disappointed in the deals she found (or rather, didn&#8217;t find) at the outlet center during a <a href="http://aozorablogspot.blogspot.com/2008/10/fall-nyc-part-i.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://aozorablogspot.blogspot.com/2008/10/fall-nyc-part-i.html');">2.5 hour shopping break</a>, but she still took some really cool fall color pictures so she got something anyway.</p>
<p>Shawne from <a href="http://smorrrfabulousandfit.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://smorrrfabulousandfit.blogspot.com');">Fabulous and Fit</a> will be going up to <strong>The Commons</strong> with her friend Melissa and while it sounds like <a href="http://smorrrfabulousandfit.blogspot.com/2008/10/easy-up-difficult.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://smorrrfabulousandfit.blogspot.com/2008/10/easy-up-difficult.html');">she just plans to walk</a> I&#8217;ll bet she&#8217;ll get some discount shopping in!</p>
<p>In the article <a href="http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081030/BIZ/810300318/-1/NEWS" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081030/BIZ/810300318/-1/NEWS');">Downturn? What Downturn?</a> published in the Times Harold-Record of Hudson Valley it was pointed out that sales at <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong> is strong and that many stores are hiring. Well duh! That&#8217;s because people want to get great discounts to save money in tough times. Why pay retail for that pair of <a title="Jimmy Choo at Woodbury Commons" href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/jimmy-choo/" >Jimmy Choo</a> shoes when you can get an amazing deal at an outlet shop?</p>
<p>Millicent from <a href="http://millicentfox.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://millicentfox.blogspot.com');">It&#8217;s All Make Believe Isn&#8217;t It?</a> didn&#8217;t have any luck shopping at The Commons this week. <a href="http://millicentfox.blogspot.com/2008/10/road-trip-for-z-youll-never-believe.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://millicentfox.blogspot.com/2008/10/road-trip-for-z-youll-never-believe.html');">She writes</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>We headed West across New York State and North to Woodbury Commons, a high end fashion retail outlet complex. We arrived early and the place was almost empty. Alice and I have big expectations were slowly let down as we went into each department store and finding only small discounts, used items or just ugly cloths. We tried and tried to make the most of the Chloe, YSL, Gucci, Juicy Couture, Valentino, Missioni, TSL, Jimmy Choo etc stores but it was just useless. Alice and I finally left defeated without purchasing anything at all from the whole entire complex so headed to Walmart&#8230;</p></blockquote>
<p>Whew, sorry to hear that Millicent!</p>
<p>Ameen <a href="http://aiichan.blog.friendster.com/2008/11/a-dreamers-dream/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://aiichan.blog.friendster.com/2008/11/a-dreamers-dream/');">dreams</a> of visiting <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong> and in response says &#8220;awesomestttt!!!&#8221;</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it for this week. See you next week!</p>
<p>Do you like to shop at Woodbury Commons? Let&#8217;s be honest, who doesn&#8217;t?! If you do, make sure you write it up and let me know and I will include you in my <strong>Blogging About Woodbury Commons</strong> weekly feature post.</p>

<blockquote><p>On Saturday we made a trip to Woodbury Common, a designer outlet (like Parndorf in Austria) which is about one bus-hour from New York. It was really fantastic, because we saw the beautiful countryside and the woods are so colourful at the moment (Indian Summer). The outlet wasn&#8217;t that amazing and not really cheaper than Manhattan, but maybe this is only my opinion, because I already know where to go in the city <img src='http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> We spent the whole day in Woodbury and arrived back in New York at 8 pm. I was so tired from the day, that I didn&#8217;t want to do something in the evening, but go to sleep.</p></blockquote>
<p>Tres tres Chic from <a href="http://themanolochallenge.blogspot.com/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://themanolochallenge.blogspot.com/');">The Manolo Challenge</a> says she is going shoe shopping at <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong> after a wedding. Aren&#8217;t you supposed to do that <em>before</em> a wedding though?</p>

<p><a href="http://www.businesssheet.com/2008/9/shoes-safer-bet-than-stocks-" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.businesssheet.com/2008/9/shoes-safer-bet-than-stocks-');">Shoes Safer Bet Than Stocks??</a> That&#8217;s the headline at the Business Sheet in an article that quotes Jimmy Choo chief executive Josh Shulman:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Apparently, shoes are a safer investment these days than stocks&#8221; - so said Jimmy Choo chief executive Josh Shulman last week, surveying the rows of stacked and spindly heels arrayed before him in the brand&#8217;s Milan showroom. He was attempting to explain why the New York and Los Angeles stores had reported better-than-ever sales at the same time Congress and the Federal Reserve decided Wall Street needed a rescue package.</p></blockquote>
<p>The author of the article goes on to show how Jimmy Choo shoes are a better investment than Wachovia shares. Scary!</p>
<p>In <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/daily/080929-sex-and-the-city-affects-coolbrands.aspx" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/daily/080929-sex-and-the-city-affects-coolbrands.aspx');">The Coolest Of The Cool</a> it is pointed out by <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.vogue.co.uk');">Vogue.com</a> that The release of <em>Sex and the City: The Movie</em> has been credited with propelling some of the key brands it featured, such as <strong>Jimmy Choo</strong>. <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/featured-stores/jimmy-choo/" >Jimmy Choo Woodbury Commons</a> will surely benefit from that.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.marketwatch.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.marketwatch.com');">Market Watch</a> reports that <a href="http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/nicole-hanley-matthew-mellon-introduce/story.aspx?guid=%7BFF27470A-559B-43B1-8E34-D08BE01C1464%7D&#038;dist=hppr" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/nicole-hanley-matthew-mellon-introduce/story.aspx?guid=%7BFF27470A-559B-43B1-8E34-D08BE01C1464%7D&#038;dist=hppr');">Nicole Hanley and Matthew Mellon Introduce HANLEY MELLON</a>. The connection to Jimmy Choo? Well, Matthew&#8217;s background includes developing Jimmy Choo with his ex-wife Tamara Mellon, shoe company Harry&#8217;s of London and cashmere label Degrees Of Freedom.</p>
<p>The news at <a href="http://www.wwd.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.wwd.com');">wwdRetail</a> is that <a href="http://www.wwd.com/retail-news/jimmy-choo-opens-paris-store-1818191?gnewsid=541fffee80bd02326b2c42ba05a0d8e3" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.wwd.com/retail-news/jimmy-choo-opens-paris-store-1818191?gnewsid=541fffee80bd02326b2c42ba05a0d8e3');">Jimmy Choo Opens Paris Store</a> - now as much as I like Jimmy Choo at Woodbury Commons if I was forced to I would be happy to go visit their Paris outlet!</p>
<p>Finally, as reported on <a href="http://justjared.buzznet.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://justjared.buzznet.com');">Just Jared</a>, Vanessa Hudgens was <a href="http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/10/08/vanessa-hudgens-is-ports-pretty/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/10/08/vanessa-hudgens-is-ports-pretty/');">recently seen</a> wearing a pair of Jimmy Choo &#8220;Edalene&#8221; shoes.</p>

<p>Shez from A<a href="http://sheryltayler.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://sheryltayler.blogspot.com');"> Tayler girls rant</a> rented a car to go to Woodbury Commons, what a great idea. Check out <a href="http://sheryltayler.blogspot.com/2008/09/woodbury-commons.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://sheryltayler.blogspot.com/2008/09/woodbury-commons.html');">her post</a> for more of this:</p>
<blockquote><p>The shpoping was awesome, and there was some great bargins to be had, Megan got 2 pairs of sneakers for $70 for the pair, and Tony got some really nice short sleaved Quicksilver shirts for $10.48. We spent a good 5 hours shopping there before we needed to head back to NY to return the rental car.</p></blockquote>
<p>Sounds like they had a great time shopping at Woodbury Commons!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.youngbrokeandfabulous.net" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.youngbrokeandfabulous.net');">Young Broke &#038; Fabulous</a> reminds us that <strong>Woodbury Commons</strong> can be <a href="http://www.youngbrokeandfabulous.net/2008/09/woodbury-commons-dangerous.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.youngbrokeandfabulous.net/2008/09/woodbury-commons-dangerous.html');">dangerous</a> on the wallet, even with all of the great bargains. Outlet stores offer great deals but you still have to manage to your budget!</p>
<p>MouseZ72 from <a href="http://mousez72.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://mousez72.blogspot.com');">mousez muses</a> writes in <a href="http://mousez72.blogspot.com/2008/09/goodbye-singapore-hello-new-york.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://mousez72.blogspot.com/2008/09/goodbye-singapore-hello-new-york.html');">Goodbye Singapore&#8230; Hello New York&#8230;</a> that he will be spending &#8220;one full day of shopping at the Woodbury Common Premium factory outlet and White Plain Malls.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Times Online wrote an article called <a href="http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/fashion/article4862907.ece" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/fashion/article4862907.ece');">Lucia love: the beauty and bargains of outlet shopping</a> which briefly mentioned Woodbury Commons: &#8220;took me to see the daddy of them all: <strong>Woodbury Common</strong> in upstate New York&#8221; (technically it isn&#8217;t really in upstate NY though).</p>
<p>Reena Qinghe from <a href="http://cuisineminceur.blogspot.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://cuisineminceur.blogspot.com');">Bon Vivant</a> wrote in <a href="http://cuisineminceur.blogspot.com/2008/10/so-i-changed-my-mind.html" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://cuisineminceur.blogspot.com/2008/10/so-i-changed-my-mind.html');">So I Changed my Mind</a> that Woodbury Commons is her &#8220;favorite shopping place in the whole world.&#8221;</p>
<p>In the Herald Online newspapers there was an article on <a href="http://www.liherald.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20147691&#038;BRD=1601&#038;PAG=461&#038;dept_id=477736&#038;rfi=6" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.liherald.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20147691&#038;BRD=1601&#038;PAG=461&#038;dept_id=477736&#038;rfi=6');">economic aid to Belmont Park</a> which included this reference: </p>
<blockquote><p>They want to see hotels and shopping, maybe something like the Woodbury Commons in the south parking lot.” “We’d like to see outlets,” said Sandy Smith, chairwoman of the Elmont Coalition for Sustainable Development. “We’d like to see some nice quality restaurants. People could make a whole day of it.”</p></blockquote>
<p>Sounds like a good day!</p>
<p>Do you like to shop at Woodbury Commons? Let&#8217;s be honest, who doesn&#8217;t?! If you do, make sure you write it up and let me know and I will include you in my <strong>Blogging About Woodbury Commons</strong> weekly feature post.</p>
<p>See you next week!</p>

<p><strong>TAG Heuer</strong> is a Swiss watchmaker known for its sports watches and chronographs. It is a division of leading luxury goods company LVMH. The company motto is &#8220;Swiss Avant-Garde Since 1860&#8243;. TAG Heuer watches are available at the <strong>TAG Heuer Outlet Shop</strong> at <a href="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com" >Woodbury Commons</a>, in New York. Those who can afford to wear such a marvelous watch are revered and admired for their great fashion sense and good taste. <strong>TAG Heuer</strong> watches are the creme de la creme of watches.</p>
<p><strong>History of TAG Heuer</strong><br />
In 1860 Edouard Heuer founded a watchmaker&#8217;s workshop in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura Mountains. It was the start of an extraordinary watchmaking story. Chronographs first appeared in the company&#8217;s archives in 1882. Edouard Heuer never ceased to improve and refine his precision-leading time instruments. He was granted many patents for his innovations and his collection of pocket chronographs was awarded a Silver Medal at the World&#8217;s Fair in Paris in 1889.</p>
<p>The Time of Trip, patented in 1911, was the first 12-hour dashboard chronograph for cars and aircrafts. It indicated time and duration of the trip and was a great success with aviator clubs. In 1916, TAG Heuer patented the Mikrograph, the world&#8217;s first mechanical stopwatch accurate to 1/100th of a second. At the time, other timing instruments could only measure to the nearest fifth of a second. This new development revolutionized science, industry and watchmaking, and made TAG Heuer the natural choice as the official supplier of timing instruments for the 1920 Olympic Games.</p>
<p>To meet the demanding world of sports, TAG Heuer developed in 1939 he first water-resistant wrist-chronographs. The brand also introduced at that time the first dashboard timer. On February 20, 1962, American astronaut John Glenn was wearing a TAG Heuer stopwatch when he piloted the spacecraft on the first manned U.S. orbital mission.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.woodburycommonsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/tagh-300x194.jpg" alt="TAG Heuer Chronograph" title="TAG Heuer Chronograph" width="300" height="194" style="float:left;margin: 20px 20px 20px 0px" /></p>
<p>In 1984, years after the quartz explosion and the period of digital display chronograph, TAG Heuer launched the first quartz chronograph with an analog display - the 2000 chronograph. The 1990s was marked by the return of the automatic chronographs. TAG Heuer reintroduced the classic Carrera, the Monaco and the Monza. These timepieces were modernized to offer new functions meeting contemporary needs, yet they remained faithful to the spirit of the original pieces and the brand unique heritage.</p>
<p>In this beginning of the 21st century, TAG Heuer symbolized the fusion of technical and design, sport and glamor, prestige and performance.</p>
<p><strong>TAG Heuer in the News</strong></p>
<p><em>TAG HEUER, winner of the category &#8220;Best Chronograph&#8221; with the GC Caliper Calibre 36 in Mexico</em></p>
<p>For the second time in Mexico more than 20 of the most coveted brands of high-end watches such as TAG Heuer, Rolex, Mont Blanc, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Cartier, Gérald Genta, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and more, got together during the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September in the Hotel Four Season in Mexico to unveil to clients, media and VIP consumers their different collections as well as their best timepieces.</p>
<p>During these three days more than 2,300 people and over 300 reporters attended the presentations and conferences given by important watchmakers of the different brands participating. Thomas Houlon, Brand director of TAG Heuer, came from Switzerland and gave a complete presentation on TAG Heuer and Innovation, in which we had full attendance.</p>
<p>During the event`s closing dinner, a jury comprised by experts in watchmaking from Mexico, Spain, Portugal and Asia, rewarded TAG Heuer, winner of the Category &#8220;Best Chronograph&#8221; with the Grand Carrera Caliper caliber 36, against Audemars Piguet and Mont Blanc.</p>
<p>Now that you know a little more about the history of the company, why not head out to <strong>TAG Heuer Woodbury Commons</strong> and see what kind of deals you can get? Or shop online from the trusted retailers available on this website.</p>
